60-metre HDMI extender for 1080p setups

This YINGHUA KVM switch extends HDMI signals up to 60 metres using a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It supports 1080p resolution at 24, 50 or 60 frames per second and passes uncompressed two-channel LPCM audio. The kit includes transmitter and receiver units powered by supplied 5 V DC adapters. It is suited for connecting a PC or laptop to a remote TV or monitor.

Check cable type and HDMI version compatibility

Verify that your source and display both use HDMI 1.4 or earlier and that you have a solid Cat5e or Cat6 run terminated to the IEEE-568B wiring standard. The extender requires a 5 V DC power outlet at each end and accepts HDMI input cables up to 10 metres of AWG26 gauge. Ensure the installation environment stays within the minus 15 to plus 70 degrees Celsius operating range.

Passive cooling with low power draw

Each unit draws a maximum of 400 mA from its 5 V DC supply, so total system consumption remains minimal. No fans are fitted; the aluminium enclosures dissipate heat silently across the full temperature range. Humidity tolerance spans 5 to 90 per cent non-condensing, allowing reliable operation in typical indoor or sheltered outdoor installations.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the Cat5e/6 cable and power adapters, or do I need to buy them separately?

The unit comes with a US-plug DC5V/1A power adapter; the Cat5e or Cat6 network cable and any HDMI leads up to 10m AWG26 are purchased separately.

Should I use Cat5e or Cat6 for a 50-metre run at 1080p?

Cat6 is recommended for the full 50-metre distance; Cat5e will work but may not reach the maximum length without signal degradation.

What does the 6.75 Gbps bandwidth mean for my 1080p 60 Hz display?

It carries uncompressed 1080p at 60 fps with 8-bit colour and LPCM 7.1 audio, matching the HDMI 1.4 spec without compression.
