Extracts HDMI audio to 3.5 mm stereo and optical outputs with selectable 2CH or 5.1CH EDID modes
This YINGHUA device extracts audio from an HDMI source and routes it to both 3.5 mm stereo and optical outputs while passing video through HDMI. It suits users who need to feed a sound system or headphones from a console, streaming box or PC that only offers HDMI output.
The switch offers Pass, 2CH and 5.1CH EDID settings that remain stable during long sessions. Pass sends audio and video through HDMI only. 2CH mode delivers stereo PCM to both analogue and optical ports. 5.1CH mode outputs Dolby Digital or DTS via optical or RCA without supporting Dolby Digital Plus.
Verify that your HDMI source can output the desired audio format and that your amplifier or soundbar accepts optical or 3.5 mm input for 5.1CH signals. The extractor does not decode Dolby Digital Plus, so sources locked to that format will not produce surround sound through this unit.

The unit is a passive HDMI audio extractor with no fan or active cooling, so it produces no audible noise and only minimal warmth during all-day operation.
You need an HDMI source and display, a 3.5 mm stereo cable for analogue L/R, and an optical Toslink cable for SPDIF, plus an amplifier or powered speakers that accept those inputs.
Yes — the 5.1 CH setting extracts Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 over both SPDIF and RCA L/R, matching legacy receivers that lack Dolby Digital Plus support.
