Converts 2.5-inch SATA drives to 44-pin IDE with 1.5 Gbps transfer speed
This YINGHUA adapter converts a 2.5 inch IDE 44-pin connection to a SATA 7+15-pin interface. It lets you attach a SATA hard drive or optical drive to a legacy 44-pin IDE header. The board measures 69mm by 14mm and requires no drivers for supported operating systems.
The adapter follows the Serial ATA 1.0 revision and tops out at 1.5 Gb/s or 150 MB/s transfer rate. It will not deliver the higher speeds of later SATA standards. The 44-pin IDE connector supplies power, so no separate power cable is needed for the SATA device.
The female SATA connector plugs directly onto the drive without extra cables, while the male 44-pin IDE plug inserts into the host socket. Compatibility covers DOS, Windows 98 through Windows 7, and Linux. Builders needing SATA 3 Gb/s or 6 Gb/s performance should look elsewhere.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter uses a 44-pin male IDE connector that plugs directly into a 2.5-inch IDE header on the motherboard or device.
The 1.5 Gb/s serial ATA link caps throughput at 150 MB/s, so any connected SATA drive will run at SATA I speeds even if the drive supports faster standards.
The adapter complies with the serial ATA 1.0 specification revision and supports ATA-133 and ATA-100 parallel IDE modes.
