Adapter for M.2 NVMe SSD to USB-C 10Gbps

This adapter connects M.2 NVMe solid-state drives to a USB 3.1 Type-C port. It uses a JMS583 controller to deliver up to 1000MB/s transfer rates. The aluminium shell acts as a heatsink during operation. It fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors without tools.

Suits users adding fast external storage via USB-C

Ideal for laptop owners who want to reuse an internal NVMe module as a portable drive. The plug-and-play design requires no driver installation on modern systems. Builders needing a permanent internal mount or RAID enclosure should consider a different solution.

Single spec that decides fit: NVMe protocol only

The adapter accepts M.2 modules that speak the NVMe protocol exclusively. Drives using other M.2 interfaces will not function in this device. Verify your SSD specification lists NVMe before purchase.
