Four DDR3 slots accept up to 128 GB of REG ECC or non-ECC memory in dual-channel mode.

Memory runs at 1866, 1600, 1333 or 1066 MHz across two channels, feeding all cores during long compile jobs or database scans without the bottlenecks of single-channel layouts. The single PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot and one x1 slot keep expansion simple, while the M.2 interface switches between NVME and NGFF by jumper so the same slot can serve cache or capacity duties. One SATA 3.0 and three SATA 2.0 ports handle bulk drives without saturating the bus.

Installation notes and common pitfalls

The yellow DIMM slots are primary; populate them before the red secondary slots or the board will not post. M.2 mode must be set by jumper before inserting the drive, otherwise the SSD goes undetected. Ten USB 2.0 headers include expansion ports, so front-panel cables need careful routing. No integrated graphics means a discrete card is mandatory for first boot. Gigabit ethernet and ALC662 5.1 audio are on-board.
