The YINGHUA X99-TF-Q is a new ATX server motherboard built around the Intel XEON E5 LGA2011-3 platform. It targets system integrators and home-lab builders who need a single board that can accept either DDR3 or DDR4 registered and non-ECC memory. The 10-layer PCB and 6-phase power delivery are engineered for continuous multi-core workloads in rack or tower chassis.

DDR3-or-DDR4 choice

Four DDR3 slots run at 1333/1600/1866 MHz while four DDR4 slots run at 1866/2133/2400 MHz, each supporting up to 128 GB total. The two memory types cannot be mixed, so the builder must decide at purchase which standard the deployment will standardise on. This single constraint determines RAM sourcing, capacity ceiling and future upgrade path for the entire system.
