ZIPCIDE 64GB Voice Recorder

The ZIPCIDE 64GB Digital Voice Recorder captures lectures, meetings, interviews and work notes in mp3 format. It stores up to 776 hours of audio at 192kbps on the included 64GB TF card and supports expandable memory via the external slot. A 270mAh rechargeable battery delivers up to 15 hours of continuous recording or 30 hours of headphone playback. The device weighs 0.141 kilograms and measures 0.77 by 0.77 by 0.33 inches.

Setup and common issues

Connect the recorder to a computer using the USB 2.0 Micro-A cable to charge the battery in 1.5 hours and to enable the voice-activated recording function, which is disabled by default. The VOR setting must be configured on the PC before the device will automatically start recording when sound levels change. Audio playback is monitored through the 3.5 millimetre headphone jack. No driver installation is required for file transfer.

Before you buy

Verify that your computer has an available USB 2.0 port or a compatible adapter for the Micro-A connector to manage files and settings. Ensure you have a 3.5 millimetre headphone plug if you intend to listen directly from the recorder. The unit records only in mp3_audio format, so confirm this suits your workflow. The voice-activation feature cannot be toggled on the device itself; a computer is essential for initial configuration.
