ZKTeco XFace600 Face Terminal

The ZKTeco XFace600 is a dynamic facial recognition terminal designed for time attendance and access control. It uses a megapixel binocular camera with visible light technology to identify users in about 0.5 seconds. The unit runs on a Linux operating system and supports fingerprint authentication as an alternative method. A 5-inch colour touchscreen provides the user interface for enrolment and record search.

Suitable Users and Limitations

This terminal suits offices needing fast, contactless check-in for up to 10,000 enrolled faces and fingerprints. It stores 100,000 transaction records and includes Wiegand input/output for door control integration. Buyers who require battery-backed operation or outdoor-rated housing should consider other options, as the unit needs a constant DC12V 3A supply and operates only between 0 and 45°C.

Deciding Specification: Face Capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the 10,000 face capacity, which matches the fingerprint and user limits. If your organisation exceeds this enrolment count, the terminal cannot accommodate every employee. For smaller workforces the capacity is ample, and the 5-inch display, TCP/IP and optional Wi-Fi communication cover standard networking needs.

Questions about this item

Does the XFace600 need an existing door lock or strike to control entry?

Yes, it provides standard Wiegand in/out, door magnet and alarm interfaces so you must connect an electric lock or strike for physical access control.

Can the terminal share its 10,000 user database with an older ZKTeco reader over TCP/IP?

It communicates via TCP/IP and optional Wi-Fi, allowing data exchange with compatible legacy controllers that support the same network protocol.

How do I confirm the 0.5 s face recognition speed is working after installation?

Enrol a test user, then stand at the 5-inch TP colour screen; the terminal should authenticate and trigger the door magnet within half a second.
