Terminal Overview

The ZKTeco zFace1702 is a 7-inch touchscreen terminal that combines facial and fingerprint recognition with an IC card reader for time attendance and access control. It supports up to 10,000 users for each biometric method and stores 300,000 event logs. The unit runs on DC 12V 3A power and operates between -5 and 45 degrees Celsius with IP65 protection.

Installation Checklist

Verify that a 12V 3A DC power supply is available at the mounting location. Confirm network infrastructure supports TCP/IP connectivity and decide whether the optional WiFi module is required. Ensure the operating environment stays within 10% to 90% relative humidity and the temperature range. Plan for compatible management software such as ZKAccess3.5, ZKTime5.0, ZKTime11.0 or E-ZKEco Pro.

System Integration

The terminal connects to existing door sensors, alarms and indoor intercom units to enable video calls, remote unlocking and doorbell alerts. Its IP65 rating allows installation in exposed areas without additional weather shielding. Multiple verification modes can be combined to suit security policies while the 300,000 log capacity reduces the frequency of data offloads via USB or network.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the zFace1702 and what must I buy separately?

The terminal ships as a complete unit with a 7-inch touch screen, dual-lens camera and built-in IC card reader. A DC 12 V 3 A power supply, network cabling and any optional ID or BS modules are not included and must be sourced separately.

Which capacity version of the zFace1702 should I choose for my site?

Only one capacity is offered: 10,000 users, 10,000 faces, 10,000 fingerprints, 10,000 IC cards and 300,000 log entries. Select this model if those limits cover your workforce; otherwise a different terminal is required.

What does the IP65 rating mean when the zFace1702 is mounted on a real doorway?

IP65 certifies total dust ingress protection and resistance to low-pressure water jets from any direction, so the unit can operate reliably outdoors or in wet indoor areas between -5 °C and 45 °C.
