Zoro Select 56JM12 Edge Protector

This light-duty edge protector uses white fibreboard to shield carton corners during shipping and storage. Each piece measures 48 in long with 2 in legs and a .12 in thickness. The pack contains 100 units for high-volume packing operations.

Light-duty fibreboard for pallet and carton use

The protectors slide over vertical edges to distribute strap tension and prevent crushing. They require strapping, stretch wrap or tape to stay in place on the load. The flat profile allows tight stacking on pallets without adding significant height.

Sustained compression resistance in transit

The .12 in paperboard holds its shape under constant strap pressure across long-haul shipments. It resists permanent deformation better than single-wall cardboard corners. The material is not rated for heavy industrial loads or outdoor exposure without additional wrap.

Questions about this item

Will the .12 in fibreboard thickness hold up when pallets are stacked for long periods?

The .12 in light-duty fibreboard resists edge crushing during normal pallet stacking but is not rated for heavy multi-tier loads.

Does the white paperboard stay rigid or soften in a warm warehouse after a full day?

Light-duty paperboard remains dimensionally stable at typical indoor temperatures; prolonged heat or moisture can reduce stiffness.

Do I need strapping or stretch film to keep these 2 in x 2 in protectors in place?

Yes, the 48 in protectors must be secured with banding, tape or stretch wrap; they are not self-adhesive.
