ZOSI ZM2258D 8MP PoE Dome Camera

This 8MP dome camera adds a single wired PoE channel to an existing ZOSI 4K PoE NVR. It is designed for installers or owners of compatible ZOSI recorders who need one more coverage point without replacing the whole system.

Upgrade from lower-resolution ZOSI channels

The sensor delivers 8MP capture at 20 frames per second, which the manufacturer states is 1.6 times clearer than 5MP and 4 times clearer than 1080P. The jump is worth it when existing 5MP or 1080P channels leave licence plates or faces unreadable at distance.

8MP coverage with 100ft colour night range

Four IR LEDs and two spotlights provide colour night vision to 100ft, while IP66 housing handles outdoor exposure. The camera records only to the NVR — no onboard card slot — and requires a separate Ethernet cable. It will not operate with non-ZOSI NVRs, ZOSI DVRs or as a standalone Wi-Fi device.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is needed for the IP66 dome camera?

The IP66-rated dome body is designed for ceiling or wall mounting; use the supplied bracket and fixings for a weatherproof outdoor or indoor installation.

How do I connect the camera to a ZOSI 4K PoE NVR and what step is often missed?

Run an Ethernet cable from the camera to a PoE port on a compatible ZOSI 4K NVR (ZR16HB, ZR08HN, ZR08SN, ZR16SK or ZR16HK); the step often missed is updating both the NVR firmware and the ZOSI Smart App to the latest version before pairing.

What ongoing maintenance does the 8MP PoE dome require?

Periodically clean the dome cover and the four IR LEDs plus two spotlights to maintain 100 ft colour night vision; check that the PoE cable seals stay tight to preserve the IP66 rating, and keep NVR firmware current for continued person and vehicle detection accuracy.
