Purpose & Audience

The ZyXEL NWA50AX PRO is a WiFi 6 dual-radio access point built for small businesses, home offices and SoHo environments. It delivers AX3000 wireless speed and includes a 2.5G Ethernet uplink port for multi-gig connectivity. The unit supports more connected devices and demanding applications with fast wireless performance.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that your network infrastructure can supply Power over Ethernet to the access point, as the device is powered via PoE. Ensure you have a compatible switch or injector and sufficient cabling for the 2.5G uplink. Confirm mounting locations suit the included plate and screws, and that local regulations align with the listed FCC and ETSI certifications.

Fit & Alternatives

This access point suits buyers who need a compact, ceiling- or wall-mountable WiFi 6 solution with a multi-gig uplink and NebulaFlex management flexibility. It is not intended for buyers who require outdoor-rated hardware, higher aggregate throughput than AX3000, or a built-in multi-port switch for wired clients.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the NWA50AX PRO and what must I buy separately?

The package includes the access point, a power adapter, a mount plate and mounting screws. A PoE injector or PoE switch is not included and must be purchased separately if you plan to power the unit over Ethernet.

Which version of the NWA50AX PRO should I choose for a small office needing multi-gigabit uplink?

This model is a single SKU with AX3000 WiFi 6, dual radios and a 2.5G Ethernet uplink port, so there are no alternate capacity versions to select.

What does the AX3000 rating mean for real-world throughput on this access point?

AX3000 is the combined theoretical maximum across both radios under ideal conditions; actual client speeds will be lower and depend on distance, interference and device capabilities.
