Built for high-refresh gaming

The Predator Helios 300 PH315-55-795C-HID10P pairs a 15.6 inch QHD 240Hz IPS panel with an Intel Core i7-12700H 14-core processor and an RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GDDR6 GPU. Windows 11 Pro drives the system out of the box. It targets players who want smooth motion at 2560 x 1440 without an external monitor.

Thermals and power under load

Upgraded thermal interface materials lower system temperatures and reduce fan noise during sustained CPU and GPU workloads. The graphics card runs at a 150W max TGP with a 1510MHz boost clock. The 14-core Alder Lake chip hits a 4.7GHz max turbo frequency while sharing the cooling solution.

Storage and memory headroom

Dual M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSDs combine for 16TB of capacity, leaving no free M.2 slots for further expansion. Two DDR5 4800MHz modules fill both SO-DIMM slots with 32GB total, so any memory upgrade requires module replacement. The chassis measures 14.10 x 10.90 x 0.98~1.02 inches and weighs 5.73 lbs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32 GB DDR5 4800MHz memory kit, and what step do people get wrong?

The laptop ships with two 16 GB modules already seated in dual-channel slots; no installation is required. If you later add or swap modules, the common error is inserting a stick at the wrong angle so the notch does not engage — press firmly until the side clips click.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16 TB NVMe storage array need later?

The two 8 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSDs have no moving parts and require no scheduled maintenance. Monitor SMART health in Windows 11 Pro; replace a drive only if its health status degrades or capacity runs out.

What limit shows up first on the RTX 3070 Ti during sustained gaming at 240 Hz?

The GPU hits its 150 W Max TGP ceiling first; once reached, boost clocks hold at 1510 MHz and further frequency scaling stops, so thermals and power draw become the practical limit before the 8 GB GDDR6 frame buffer fills.
