15.6″ QHD 240 Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-55-795C-HID7P is a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built for competitive gaming and content creation. Its 2560 x 1440 IPS panel runs at 240 Hz for smooth motion. An Intel Core i7-12700H with 14 cores and 20 threads drives the system, reaching 4.7 GHz max turbo.

32 GB DDR5 4800 MHz and 2 TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe

Dual-channel DDR5 memory at 4800 MHz gives headroom for heavy multitasking and memory-hungry applications. The 2 TB NVMe SSD on a PCIe 3.0 x4 link provides fast boot and load times. Storage or memory upgrades would require opening the chassis.

NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB GDDR6 at 150 W TGP

The discrete GPU operates at a 150 W maximum TGP with a 1510 MHz boost clock, delivering high frame rates at QHD resolution. The 14.10 x 10.90 x 0.98–1.02 inch chassis weighs 5.73 lbs and includes LAN and WLAN connectivity. Adequate desk space and airflow keep thermals in check during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6" QHD 240Hz display work with my older external monitor that only supports 1080p 60Hz?

Yes, the laptop can drive an external 1080p 60Hz monitor via its video outputs while the built-in 15.6" 2560 x 1440 240Hz panel runs at its native resolution and refresh rate.

How can I verify the i7-12700H is hitting its 4.7 GHz max turbo and the RTX 3070 Ti is reaching 1510 MHz boost clock under load?

Run a combined CPU and GPU stress test while monitoring core clocks in Task Manager or a hardware utility; the 14-core 20-thread processor should show up to 4.7 GHz and the 8 GB GDDR6 graphics card up to 1510 MHz when thermals allow.

Does the box include a second DDR5 4800MHz SO-DIMM and an extra M.2 NVMe SSD, or do I need to buy them separately?

The system ships with 32 GB as 2 x 16 GB DDR5 4800MHz modules and a 2 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD already installed; no additional memory or storage is required unless you want more capacity.
