What it is and who it's for

The Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714 is a 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop running Chrome OS. It targets students and professionals who want a convertible device with a 120Hz touchscreen and integrated Google AI features for productivity tasks.

Capacity and headroom

The system ships with 8GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory that cannot be upgraded and a 512GB PCIe SSD. This handles web browsing, document editing and Android apps comfortably, but the fixed memory limits heavy multitasking or local AI workloads.

The deciding spec

The Intel Core Ultra 5 115U processor delivers 8 cores with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2GHz. Buyers who need discrete graphics, Windows applications or user-upgradable RAM should look elsewhere.

How do I confirm the 120 Hz touchscreen is running at full refresh after I sign in?

Open Settings > Device > Displays and verify the refresh-rate dropdown shows 120 Hz for the built-in 14-inch panel.
