14-inch Copilot+ laptop

The Acer Aspire 14 is a 14.0-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor with 8 cores and 12MB cache. It carries 32GB of DDR5 8000 memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The 1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS touchscreen runs at 120 Hz with 400 nits brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. Integrated Intel Arc Graphics 140V handles visuals while Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 manage connectivity.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 8-core 8-thread CPU operates at a 3.3 GHz base and can reach 5.1 GHz, supported by up to 48 NPU TOPS and 67 GPU TOPS for AI tasks. Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended heavy compute or video work will draw from the 32GB DDR5 pool. The 120 Hz panel and 400 nit output remain consistent during long sessions, while the dual stereo speakers with Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 handle conferencing audio without external hardware.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives fully assembled with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, so no hardware installation is required. The 32GB DDR5 is soldered and not user-upgradeable, limiting future memory expansion. The single 2TB NVMe M.2 slot can be replaced, but opening the chassis may affect the manufacturer seal. Ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 and a headphone/mic combo for peripheral connectivity.

Questions about this item

Does the Core Ultra 9 288V run hot or loud under sustained load?

The 8-core 288V has a 3.3 GHz base and 5.1 GHz boost with 12 MB cache; the thin 0.63-inch chassis relies on internal fans, so extended heavy workloads will spin them up.

What peripherals must I already own to use the two USB-C and two USB-A ports?

The laptop provides 2× USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and 2× USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A; you need cables or hubs that match those standards for each device you connect.

Will the HDMI 2.1 port drive my older 1080p monitor at 120 Hz?

HDMI 2.1 supports 1920×1080 at 120 Hz, so an older 1080p panel can run at the panel’s 120 Hz refresh rate through that port.
