Ready-to-play 16-inch gaming laptop

The Acer Nitro 16 ships with Windows 11 Home, an AMD Ryzen 7 260 octa-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR7 memory. It targets gamers and creators who want a single device for high-refresh gaming and content work without assembling a desktop system.

Connectivity and expansion built in

Three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 4 port, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet and a MicroSD card reader cover peripherals, external displays and wired networking. The 16 GB DDR5 memory and 512 GB PCIe SSD handle current titles; the open chassis allows professional engineers to install larger DDR5 modules or a second SSD when the workload grows.

Sustained performance in a slim chassis

The 16.0" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 panel runs at 180 Hz for smooth motion during long sessions. Zen 4 architecture runs at 3.8 GHz base and 5.1 GHz boost while Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 maintain stable wireless links. The 0.96-inch profile and 5.38-pound weight keep the system portable for LAN events or remote work.

Questions about this item

How long can the Ryzen 7 260 sustain its 5.1 GHz boost before thermals force it down?

The 16-inch chassis and dual-fan layout are built to hold high clocks, but sustained 5.1 GHz will depend on the workload and ambient temperature.

What are the fan noise and surface temperatures like during an all-day gaming session?

Under continuous load the fans spin up audibly and the keyboard deck warms noticeably, though the rear exhaust keeps core temperatures in check.

Which peripherals or docks must I already own to use the USB-C 4 and HDMI 2.1 ports?

Any USB-C 4 device or HDMI 2.1 display will work immediately; no proprietary dock or adapter is required.
