Workstation purpose

This liquid-cooled tower workstation is built for professionals who need 24 CPU cores and ECC memory for simulation, rendering or large-dataset workloads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and dual LAN ports for immediate deployment in studio or lab environments. Buyers who need a compact silent PC or a single-GPU gaming rig should look elsewhere.

CPU and memory core

The system centres on an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9965WX 24-core processor reaching 5.3 GHz with 128 MB L3 cache, paired with 64 GB DDR5 ECC memory on a Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard using Socket sTR5. This combination decides whether the machine matches your thread-count and error-correction requirements.

Build integration

A 360 mm AIO cooler and Thermaltake 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU handle the 24-core thermal load inside a Corsair 5000D Frame case measuring 520 x 245 x 520 mm. Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives totalling 10 TB plus a 10 TB SATA III HDD provide high-speed and bulk storage, while an Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 16 GB GPU occupies one expansion slot for professional visualisation.

Questions about this item

How does the 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX behave once it is inside a real workstation?

The 24-core processor runs at 4.2 GHz base and can boost to 5.3 GHz with 128 MB L3 cache, delivering 48 threads for heavy multi-threaded workloads such as rendering, simulation and large-scale data analysis.

What interface do the Samsung 990 PRO drives use and what does it cap in practice?

Each 990 PRO SSD connects via PCIe 4.0 x4, providing sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s, which is the practical ceiling of the PCIe 4.0 interface.

What physical space and mounting does the Corsair 5000D FRAME case require for this build?

The tower measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, and includes internal bays for two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives plus a 360 mm liquid-cooler radiator mount.
