Purpose-built workstation

This tower workstation is built around a 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor running at 4.2GHz with up to 5.3GHz boost. It ships with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory, a 6TB NVMe SSD array split across two Samsung 990 PRO drives, a 10TB SATA III hard drive, and an Nvidia Geforce RTX 5060 8GB graphics card. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Deciding specification

The CPU socket is Socket sTR5 on a Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard, which determines processor and memory compatibility for this platform. The board provides four M.2 connectors and eight SATA 6Gb/s ports, while the 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply and 360mm liquid cooler support the 24-core thermal load.

Fit and alternatives

Professionals needing high core counts, ECC memory integrity, and multi-drive NVMe capacity for rendering, simulation, or data science will match this configuration. Buyers who require multiple high-end GPUs, greater GPU memory than 8GB, or a rackmount form factor should look at other chassis and motherboard options.
