Rugged portable storage

The ADATA HD710 Pro is a 1 TB external hard drive in a 2.5 inch form factor. It connects through a USB 3.1 interface and weighs 0.6 lb. A waterproof port cover and triple-layered construction protect the drive from dust, water and drops. The red enclosure makes the unit easy to spot in a bag or on a worksite.

Suited for field work and backups

Photographers, surveyors and anyone moving data between sites will value the IP68 dust and water rating plus MIL-STD-810G 516.6 shock certification. Built-in sensors halt drive activity instantly when a 1.5 m drop is detected. Buyers who need solid-state speed or silent operation should consider a different storage type.

Build integration

The drive draws power directly from the USB port so no external adapter is required. It works with Windows Vista through 10, macOS and Linux without extra drivers. The rugged shell frees you from carrying a separate protective case. Remember that water resistance only applies while the USB cover is firmly closed.
