Algo 8028V Vandal-Proof IP Doorphone Controller Intercom 305m

Vandal-Proof IP Doorphone Controller

The Algo 8028V is a two-piece IP intercom system combining a secure controller unit with a rugged outdoor intercom station. It provides hands-free communication and door or gate control for high-risk environments such as correctional facilities, police stations, and parking lots. The system operates as a fully compliant third-party SIP endpoint using TLS and SRTP for secure signalling and media. It is designed for PoE deployment, simplifying network installation.

Milled Aluminum Faceplate & Extended Wiring

A solid milled aluminum anodized faceplate resists dents, cigarette lighter burns, and other physical abuse, while an offset grill pattern limits sharp object penetration to the speaker and microphone. The NEMA 3R outdoor rating confirms suitability for exposed locations. Separating the controller from the intercom secures the access control relay and network connection away from the public interface. Extended wiring supports runs up to 1000 feet (305m) for gates positioned outside the building perimeter.

PoE Power & Relay Activation

The system draws power through Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for local mains wiring at the door station. During an active call, relay activation is triggered seamlessly via telephone keypad input for door or gate release. The low-profile rugged housing is built to dissuade vandalism while maintaining reliable operation in outdoor conditions. Secure SIP encryption protects both call privacy and access control commands across the network.
