13-Pocket Expanding Organizer

The Amazon Basics PBH-2556 is a two-pack of expanding file folders built for letter-size documents. Each folder measures 13 by 9.5 by 1.6 inches and weighs 11.9 ounces. The durable poly construction is waterproof, tear-resistant, archival quality, acid-free and PVC-free. A flap with cord closure keeps contents secure during transport or storage.

Replaces Single-Pocket Folders

Standard single-pocket folders force unrelated papers together and offer no expansion. This organizer adds thirteen labelled pockets that each expand to seven-eighths of an inch, letting you separate projects, clients or categories without buying extra folders. The jump is worth it when a flat folder overflows or when you need quick visual access to multiple sections at once.

Handles 260 Sheets Per Folder

Each unit holds up to 260 sheets of 8.5 by 11-inch paper across its thirteen pockets, giving roughly twenty sheets per section before the expansion limit is reached. The poly material resists moisture and tearing, so documents stay protected in daily use. It runs out when a single category exceeds the pocket depth or when total volume surpasses the 260-sheet capacity.

Questions about this item

How deep are the 13 pockets when fully expanded?

Each pocket expands to 7/8 inch, giving a total depth of 1.6 inches for the whole folder.

What is the correct way to secure the flap so papers do not slip out?

Thread the elastic cord through the buttonhole on the flap and wrap it around the folder until snug; leaving the cord loose is the common mistake.

Will the polyester material stay acid-free if I store documents for years?

Yes, the folder is archival quality, acid free and PVC free, so it will not degrade or yellow over time.
