Colour Night Vision and IP67 Housing

A 1/2.8 progressive CMOS sensor works with one built-in white LED and IR illumination to produce colour night vision up to 49.2 feet. The heavy-duty metal enclosure meets IP67 weatherproof rating for continuous outdoor operation. Video streams at 15 fps using smart codec technology to reduce storage and bandwidth consumption. Power is supplied via PoE; a separate injector or switch is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Amcrest IP8M-2796EW-AI camera and what step is often missed?

Mount the IP67 bullet housing, run a single Ethernet cable to a PoE switch or injector — not included — then adopt the camera in the Amcrest View app; the step people skip is providing PoE power separately.

What maintenance or replacement will the Amcrest IP8M-2796EW-AI need later?

The microSD card slot supports up to 256 GB; plan to replace the card if it fills or wears out, and occasionally clean the white LED and IR window so colour night vision stays clear to 49.2 feet.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the Amcrest IP8M-2796EW-AI?

Video is fixed at 3840 × 2160 resolution at 15 fps, so continuous 4K recording cannot exceed that frame rate.
