SKU CH-X115-XH6JE

An optical fibre DisplayPort cable delivering 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz over 20 m with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth

Cable Length 66 ft.

  • 8K resolution at 60 Hz over a 20 m optical link
  • 4K gaming at 144 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
  • Optical fibre carries the signal 66 ft without loss
  • Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion for long-term reliability
  • Slim TPE jacket makes in-wall routing easy

20-metre optical DisplayPort cable for distant 8K

This 20-metre fibre-optic DisplayPort cable carries 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz across long runs without signal loss. It targets installers and enthusiasts who need a single cable between a source device and a remote display where copper cables would fail. The optical construction keeps the cable slim and flexible for in-wall routing. It is not suited for buyers who need a short desk cable or who require USB-C alternate-mode signalling.

Sustained 32.4 Gbps throughput over the full length

The cable maintains the full HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps continuously across the 20-metre span, so high-refresh 4K and 8K streams stay stable during extended gaming or playback sessions. Backward compatibility with the 1.2 standard ensures older sources still link at their maximum rates. No compression or bandwidth scaling occurs as the link warms up. Users who need cable lengths beyond 20 metres cannot be served by this product.

Passive optical design runs cool and silent

Because the cable uses optical fibre rather than active copper equalisation, it draws negligible power from the DisplayPort connector and produces no fan or coil noise. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion during permanent installations. The TPE jacket protects the fibres during pulls through conduit. Builders who require a plenum-rated jacket or armoured sheathing will need a different cable.

Questions about this item

Does the 20 m optical fibre DisplayPort cable need external power or active cooling to maintain 32.4 Gbps over its full length?

No, the cable is a passive optical fibre design that draws the small amount of power it needs from the DisplayPort source connector, so no separate power supply or cooling is required.

What DisplayPort versions must my graphics card and monitor support to use 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with this cable?

Both the source and the display need a DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 interface; the cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 for lower resolutions such as 1080p or 2K.

Will this 20 m cable work reliably if I keep my existing DisplayPort 1.2 monitor and only upgrade the GPU later?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2, so it will carry 1080p or 2K signals from your current monitor and later support 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz when you connect a DisplayPort 1.4 source.
