What this cable delivers

This Aomoproing fibre-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over a 16 ft run. It supports 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and remains backward compatible with DP 1.2, 1080p and 2K signals. The 24 K gold-plated connectors and TPE jacket are built for durable in-wall or desktop routing.

Behaviour under sustained load

Optical fibre eliminates the signal degradation that copper cables suffer at this length, so the full 32.4 Gbps link stays stable during extended gaming or professional sessions. No frame drops or artefacts appear even when the link runs continuously at 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz. The cable is directional; the Source and Display ends must be matched for the link to train correctly.

Thermals noise and power

Passive optical transmission produces no heat and draws no external power, so the cable adds zero thermal load to the system. Without active electronics or copper conductors there is no coil whine or electromagnetic interference. The TPE jacket resists wear while remaining flexible enough for tidy cable management.

Questions about this item

Does the 16ft fiber-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when driving 8K@60Hz all day?

The cable is passive fiber optics with no active electronics, so it produces no measurable heat and adds no power draw beyond the DisplayPort source.

What connectors must my graphics card and monitor already have for this cable to work?

Both ends require standard DisplayPort 1.4 ports; the gold-plated plugs are labeled Source for the GPU and Display for the monitor.

Will this 16ft cable work reliably with an older GPU that only supports DisplayPort 1.2?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with DP 1.2 and will carry 1080P or 2K signals at the same 32.4Gbps bandwidth ceiling.
