Internal SFF-8087 breakout cable
This 1.64 ft cable connects a RAID or PCIe controller that has an SFF-8087 port to four SATA drives. The SFF-8087 male end uses a latch lock for a secure host connection. Four right-angle SATA female connectors with latch locks attach to target drives or a backplane. A woven mesh sleeve covers half the length for easier routing.
Builders with SFF-8087 controllers
Suits anyone adding up to four SATA drives to a compatible host bus adapter that presents an SFF-8087 interface. Each port supports up to 6 Gbps data transfer. Not for systems that lack an SFF-8087 host connector, need straight SATA plugs, or require a different Mini SAS pinout.
SFF-8087 host interface
The single deciding specification is the SFF-8087 male connector on the controller side. If your RAID or PCIe card does not expose an SFF-8087 port, this cable cannot be used.

Questions about this item
Will the SFF-8087 male connector with latch locking fit my existing RAID controller port?
The 36-pin SFF-8087 male plug is the standard host interface for SAS RAID and HBA cards, so it mates directly with any controller that presents an SFF-8087 receptacle.
How can I verify each of the four SATA links is running at 6Gbps after installation?
Check the host adapter BIOS or OS utility; each port should negotiate 6 Gb/s and show the attached drive model without errors.
Does the package include the four right-angle SATA data cables or must I source them separately?
The breakout cable integrates four 90-degree SATA female connectors on a single 1.64 ft assembly, so no separate SATA data cables are required.
