24U NetShelter AV enclosure

The APC AR3814 is a 24U rack enclosure built for professional audio and video installations. It follows the EIA-310-E standard and ships with keyed-alike doors, side panels, casters, leveling feet, baying hardware and mounting hardware. The black finish matches typical AV racks. Static load capacity is 1363.64 KG and dynamic load capacity is 1022.73 KG.

Before ordering check floor space and access

Verify that the intended location can accommodate the overall footprint of 600.00 mm wide by 825.00 mm deep with a height of 1199.00 mm. Ensure the floor can support the 81.82 KG unit weight plus the planned equipment load. Confirm that door swing and side panel clearance are not obstructed by walls or adjacent racks. The pre-installed casters require a smooth, level surface for safe positioning.

Thermal airflow and power considerations

The enclosure is optimised for airflow management to support dense AV equipment layouts. Cable management features help maintain clear front-to-rear air paths. No active cooling components are included, so thermal performance depends on the installed gear and room ambient conditions. Plan power distribution units separately to match the equipment power draw within the rack.

Questions about this item

What comes with the APC AR3814 and what must I buy separately?

The enclosure ships with baying hardware, a documentation CD, keys, keyed-alike doors and side panels, leveling feet, mounting hardware, pre-installed casters and side panels. Shelves, cable-management accessories and PDUs are sold separately.

Should I choose the 24U model or a different height for my A/V installation?

This model provides 24U of EIA-310-E rack space. Select it when your equipment list fits within 24 rack units; choose a taller or shorter NetShelter AV enclosure if you need more or fewer units.

How does the 1363.64 kg static load rating apply once the rack is installed?

The 1363.64 kg static rating is the maximum weight the levelled, stationary enclosure can safely support. When the rack must be moved on its casters, the dynamic limit drops to 1022.73 kg.
