Standby UPS for 120V Home Office
The APC BK350 Back-UPS CS provides 350VA and 210W of battery backup through a standby topology. It accepts an input range of 98-140V at 50/60Hz and delivers 120V output to six NEMA 5-15R outlets. Three outlets supply battery backup and surge protection while the remaining three provide surge protection only. A sealed lead-acid battery recharges in 8 hours and uses the RBC2 replacement cartridge.
Desktop Users Needing Basic Power Protection
This unit suits desktop PCs, networking gear and peripherals that require short-term runtime during outages and protection from voltage spikes. It includes USB and RS-232 management ports plus RJ-11 data line protection for phone, fax, modem or DSL connections. Management software is supplied on CD for automated shutdown configuration. It is not for equipment requiring pure sine-wave output, for loads above 210W, for environments outside 120V nominal, or for applications needing extended runtime or network management cards.
210W Continuous Power Limit
The single specification that decides fit is the 210W maximum output capacity. Add the power draw of every device you plan to connect to the battery-backup outlets; if the total exceeds 210W the UPS will overload and cannot support the load. The surge-only outlets do not increase this limit. Verify your equipment's wattage against this figure before purchase.

Questions about this item
How do I confirm the BK350 is protecting my equipment after I plug it in?
The unit sounds a distinctive low-battery alarm when running on battery and a continuous tone if overloaded; the USB port and included software also report status to your computer.
What comes with the BK350 and what must I purchase separately?
The box includes the UPS, a USB cable, cord-management straps, a software CD and the user manual; the replaceable RBC2 battery is sold separately when the original reaches end of life.
Which BK350 capacity suits a typical desktop and monitor?
The 350 VA / 210 W rating supports a modest desktop and monitor; add the wattages of every device you plan to connect and ensure the total stays below 210 W.
