Digital Print Folio 17.25x22.25x.5

The Archival Methods Digital Print Folio is a handcrafted presentation case for photographers and artists. It uses 0.098" archival binder board wrapped in black linen-textured fabric to protect work during transport. The interior features bright white acid-free paper that prevents damage to prints over time. A fold-over flap with a touch fastener secures the contents.

Capacity for matted and loose prints

The folio holds up to six matted prints for client reviews or gallery submissions. It also accommodates 36 to 48 unmounted prints depending on paper weight, offering flexible storage for larger collections. This range suits professionals who need to carry both finished pieces and working proofs. Heavier paper stocks will reduce the total count of loose sheets.

Archival materials and physical limits

Acid-free paper and archival board create a chemically stable environment that slows print degradation. The 0.5" spine thickness sets a hard ceiling on how many matted works fit inside at once. The folio has no rigid corners or waterproof seal, so it is not suited for checked luggage or prolonged outdoor exposure. Buyers needing weatherproof cases or larger capacity should consider rigid portfolios.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.098" binder board and acid-free interior protect prints stored next to older portfolios that used standard board?

The 0.098" archival binder board and bright white acid-free interior paper prevent acid migration, so prints stay safe even if adjacent storage materials are not archival grade.

How can I confirm the touch fastener flap is securing the folio correctly after loading prints?

Press the fold-over flap down until the touch fastener engages with a firm click; the flap should lie flat with no gap along the 17.25x22.25" edges.

Does the #70022 folio include matting boards or print sleeves, or must I buy them separately?

The folio ships empty — it holds up to six matted prints or 36-48 unmounted prints, but matting boards and protective sleeves are purchased separately.
