Legal Classification Folder 10 Box

Smead 19204 legal-size classification folders organise documents with two dividers that create six filing surfaces. Each folder uses 20 point PressGuard pressboard with a moisture-resistant coating and a 2 inch Tyvek gusset for expansion. SafeShield coated fasteners on the cover and dividers protect papers and fingers from tears and cuts. The 10-box pack suits offices that need secure, high-capacity filing.

Who Benefits and Who Looks Elsewhere

Legal practices and administrators handling 8.5 by 14 inch paperwork gain six separate surfaces per folder with protected fasteners. Buyers needing letter-size folders, single-surface files, or non-expanding covers should choose a different format. The two-divider design is fixed and cannot be reduced for simpler sorting tasks.

SafeShield Fastener Protection

Patented SafeShield coated fastener technology eliminates paper tears, finger cuts and excessive crinkling on both the cover and the two internal dividers. This single feature decides whether the folder meets the safety and durability needs of high-volume legal filing.

Questions about this item

What size filing cabinet or drawer does the 8.5 x 14 inch legal folder with 2 inch Tyvek gusset expansion require?

The folder measures 8.5 by 14 inches and the Tyvek gusset expands up to 2 inches, so allow at least that depth in a legal-size drawer or shelf.

How do I fasten papers onto the two dividers and the cover fasteners without tearing sheets or cutting fingers?

Use the 1 inch SafeShield coated twin-prong fasteners on each 17 point kraft divider and the 2 inch SafeShield bonded-style coated fasteners on the cover positions 1 and 3; the coating prevents paper tears and finger cuts.

When will the 20 point PressGuard pressboard cover or the 17 point kraft dividers need replacing under heavy daily use?

The 20 point PressGuard cover resists moisture and stains, and the 17 point kraft dividers with SafeShield fasteners are built for extra durability; replace only if the pressboard wears through or a fastener loses tension.
