System purpose

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a pre-built gaming desktop for players who want a complete, liquid-cooled system ready for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking. It combines a 16-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an RTX 5080 graphics card and 128GB of DDR5 memory in a single chassis.

Capacity and headroom

The 4TB NVMe drive holds a large modern library while the 2TB SATA HDD provides bulk space for media and backups. 128GB of DDR5 across four slots leaves no free sockets for further expansion, and the 1000W power supply sets the ceiling for any future GPU upgrade.

Bundled extras

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed so the machine boots straight to the desktop without further setup. A 360mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load out of the box, and integrated Wi-Fi plus RGB lighting are included without extra parts or configuration.

Questions about this item

Will my existing SATA III hard drive work alongside the 4TB NVMe SSD and 2TB HDD inside this GX601?

Yes, the system includes a SATA III interface for the 2TB HDD, so any additional SATA III drive you keep can be connected using the same standard.

How can I verify the 360mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at its 4.7GHz base frequency under load?

Monitor CPU core temperatures and clock speeds in BIOS or a hardware monitoring utility while running a sustained workload; the cooler is sized for the 16-core processor.

Does the box contain the 1000W power supply and Windows 11 Home licence, or must I purchase them separately?

Both the 1000W power supply and a Windows 11 Home licence are included; the PC ships tested and ready to play.
