ROG Strix Helios GX601 liquid cooled gaming desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a pre-built gaming desktop that ships fully assembled and tested with Windows 11 Home. It combines a 12 core AMD Ryzen 9 9900X processor running at 4.4GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card carrying 16GB of GDDR7 memory. A 360mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals inside the GX601 chassis.

Buyers wanting 64GB DDR5 and dual drive storage

This system suits enthusiasts who need 64GB of DDR5 memory across four slots and want both a 2TB NVMe SSD for fast boot and a 2TB SATA III hard drive for bulk storage without adding parts themselves. It is not for builders who prefer to choose their own cooler, power supply or case layout, nor for users who need more than four memory slots or a different GPU.

RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 graphics card decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this desktop meets your workflow is the GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 video memory connected via PCI Express x16. If your applications require that specific GPU memory capacity and generation, this build matches; if they demand a different GPU tier or VRAM amount, this is not the right system.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the liquid cooler is running after I power on the PC?

The 360 mm liquid cooler should spin up immediately; listen for pump noise and watch for coolant flow through any transparent tubing, then confirm CPU temperatures stay near idle levels in BIOS or monitoring software.

What components come pre-installed and what must I add myself?

The system ships with the Ryzen 9 9900X, RTX 5080 16 GB GDDR7, 64 GB DDR5, 2 TB NVMe SSD, 2 TB SATA HDD, 1000 W power supply, Windows 11 Home and Wi-Fi — only a monitor, keyboard and mouse are needed.

Which storage configuration matches the listed 2 TB NVMe plus 2 TB HDD?

This single configuration includes both a 2 TB NVMe drive for OS and games and a 2 TB SATA III hard drive for bulk storage; no other capacity options are offered for this model.
