System overview

The Velztorm Pilum is a gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight‑core processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost and 32 MB of L3 cache. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 memory, a 2 TB SATA SSD paired with a 6 TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. Windows 10 Pro is pre‑installed and the chassis includes a 120 mm AIO liquid cooler with RGB lighting.

Graphics capability

The GTX 1660 Super provides 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory and supports DirectX 12, G‑SYNC and VR‑ready output through HDMI and DisplayPort. This specification determines whether the system can drive the resolution and refresh rate you need for current titles at high settings. Buyers who want more video memory or newer ray‑tracing hardware should look at a different configuration.

Sustained operation

A 750 W power supply feeds the CPU, GPU, memory and both storage drives while the 120 mm liquid cooler manages processor heat during extended sessions. The 802.11n wireless link and Gigabit Ethernet port maintain network connectivity for long multiplayer matches or streaming workloads. Users who need higher wireless throughput or additional internal drive bays will find the platform limited in those areas.

Questions about this item

How does the Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz base clock and 4.4 GHz boost translate to actual gaming frame rates?

The 8-core processor runs at 3.6 GHz base and can reach 4.4 GHz boost, feeding the GTX 1660 Super 6 GB GDDR6 card so most 1080p titles run smoothly at high settings with G-SYNC support.

What display outputs does the GTX 1660 Super provide and what resolutions can they drive?

The card includes one HDMI and one DisplayPort, both able to drive 1080p or 1440p monitors at high refresh rates for VR-ready gaming.

Will the 120 mm AIO liquid cooler and 750 W power supply fit in a standard mid-tower case?

The system ships in a desktop chassis with a 120 mm AIO CPU cooler and a 750 W supply already installed, so no extra clearance planning is needed.
