System Purpose

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around a 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X at 4.4GHz and an RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7. It targets players who want 4K-capable frame rates and creators who need 64GB DDR5 for heavy multitasking. Buyers who want more storage bays or a second graphics card should look elsewhere.

Bundled Impact

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed so the machine boots straight to a usable desktop. The 1TB NVMe SSD holds the OS and active titles for fast load times while the 2TB SATA HDD provides bulk space for media libraries. A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 12-core processor at stable temperatures during extended sessions.

Installation Reality

The system ships fully assembled and tested, so first boot only requires power, display and peripheral connections. The 1000W supply handles the factory GPU and CPU without extra cables. Builders planning to add more drives must verify case mounting points and SATA ports themselves as component brands may vary.

Questions about this item

Will the 360mm liquid cooler need refilling or pump replacement?

The 360mm liquid cooler is a sealed AIO unit; no refilling is required and the pump is rated for the cooler's service life

What limits sustained performance first — CPU thermal headroom or the 1000W power supply?

The Ryzen 9 9900X 12-core at 4.4GHz base is cooled by the 360mm liquid cooler, so thermal headroom is generous; the 1000W PSU powers the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 and all components within its rated capacity

How loud and hot does the system get when the RTX 5080 and Ryzen 9 run all day?

The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 12-core CPU at low temperatures with quiet pump and fan operation, while the 1000W PSU runs efficiently under full GPU and CPU load
