ROG Strix Helios GX601 White desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a new gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores at 5.7GHz. It includes 64GB DDR5 memory, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card with 8GB GDDR7, a 2TB NVMe SSD and a 2TB SATA III HDD. A 360mm liquid cooler and 750W power supply complete the Windows 11 Home system.

Sustained load behaviour

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to manage heat from the 24-core CPU during extended gaming or rendering sessions. The 750W power supply delivers stable current to the RTX 5060 Ti and all installed components under continuous demand. Both storage drives remain accessible without thermal throttling from the graphics card.

PCI Express x16 and storage limits

The graphics card connects through a PCI Express x16 slot, defining the bandwidth ceiling for the RTX 5060 Ti. The 2TB NVMe SSD operates at the speed limits of its NVMe interface, while the 2TB HDD is bound by the SATA III interface maximum throughput. Four DDR5 slots are populated, leaving no free memory slots for expansion.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise should I expect from the 360 mm liquid cooler on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K when the system runs all day?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is sized for the 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and its 5.7 GHz boost, keeping CPU temperatures lower and fans quieter than air coolers during sustained gaming or rendering sessions.

Which display cables and monitor inputs do I need to have ready for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti?

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti uses a PCI Express x16 slot and provides modern display outputs; have a DisplayPort or HDMI cable that matches your monitor’s input ready for connection.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives or 2.5-inch SSDs work inside this chassis alongside the 2 TB NVMe drive?

Yes, the motherboard includes SATA III ports and the case has drive bays, so your current SATA III HDDs or 2.5-inch SSDs can be installed alongside the 2 TB NVMe boot drive.
