Gaming desktop with 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White system pairs a 5.7GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12GB of GDDR7 memory. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD, and an 850W power supply. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and a 360mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals.

Ideal for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking.

The 24-core CPU and RTX 5070 suit creators and gamers who need high frame rates at 4K and smooth multi-application workflows. Buyers who need a small-form-factor chassis or a lower-power platform should look elsewhere, as this full-tower design demands ample desk space and robust cooling clearance.

LGA 1851 socket dictates motherboard compatibility

The processor uses the LGA 1851 socket, so any future CPU upgrade must match that specific interface. Component brands may vary inside the build, but the socket type is fixed and determines which processors can be installed later.

Questions about this item

Does the Helios GX601 ship with Windows 11 Home already installed, or must I buy a licence separately?

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and activated, so no separate licence purchase is required.

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR5 configuration or add more modules later?

The board has four DDR5 slots with all four currently free, so 32 GB is ready to use and you can expand up to the platform maximum later.

What does the 5.7 GHz figure mean for actual gaming frame rates?

The Core Ultra 9 285K can boost to 5.7 GHz on its 24 cores, giving high single-thread speed that lifts frame rates in CPU-bound titles when paired with the RTX 5070 12 GB GDDR7.
