ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Ryzen 7 9700X RTX 5080 128GB DDR5 4TB NVMe 2TB HDD 1000W gaming PC

Built for high-end gaming and content creation

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor running at 3.8GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 128GB DDR5 RAM across four slots, a 4TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD, a 1000W power supply and Windows 11 Home. The system is liquid cooled with a 360mm radiator and includes WiFi and RGB lighting. It suits buyers who want a ready-to-play machine for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking without assembling parts themselves.

Sustained load behaviour

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the thermal output of the Ryzen 7 9700X and RTX 5080 during extended sessions, keeping clock speeds stable when air coolers would throttle. The 1000W power supply delivers continuous power to both components without hitting protection limits. With 128GB DDR5 installed, memory-intensive workloads such as video editing or large texture streaming run without paging to the NVMe SSD. The 4TB NVMe drive maintains write performance over long transfers because its controller has ample over-provisioning space.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that your monitor uses a DisplayPort or HDMI connection supported by the RTX 5080, as no legacy video outputs are mentioned. Confirm your desk or floor space can accommodate a full-tower chassis implied by the Helios GX601 name and 360mm radiator. Ensure your mains circuit can supply a 1000W load alongside other peripherals. Check that any additional storage you plan to add uses SATA III or NVMe interfaces, since only those drive types are confirmed present. Component brands may vary from the images shown.
