Built for high-end gaming

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White desktop pairs a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 9900X CPU running at 4.4GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU equipped with 16GB GDDR7 memory. It targets enthusiasts who want a pre-assembled system ready for 4K gameplay and heavy multitasking straight out of the box. The 128GB DDR5 configuration across four slots supports demanding creative workloads alongside gaming.

Thermals and power

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the Ryzen 9 9900X heat output while the RTX 5080 relies on its own cooling solution inside the chassis. The 1000W power supply feeds both components and the rest of the platform without requiring an external upgrade. Acoustic levels stay contained under load thanks to the liquid loop and case airflow design.

Build integration

Dual storage combines a 2TB NVMe SSD for OS and active titles with a 2TB SATA III HDD for bulk libraries, freeing M.2 slots for future expansion. Four DDR5 slots are fully populated, so memory upgrades require module replacement rather than simple addition. The AM5 socket leaves a CPU upgrade path open within the same platform generation. Wi-Fi and RGB lighting are integrated for wireless connectivity and aesthetic customisation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler and what step do people miss?

The 360mm liquid cooler ships pre-installed on the Ryzen 9 9900X. The step people miss is verifying pump power and radiator fan headers are seated before first boot.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360mm liquid cooler need later?

The sealed 360mm loop requires no fluid top-ups. Plan to clean radiator fins and replace fans if bearing noise appears after several years.

What limit shows up first on the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 under sustained load?

The 16GB GDDR7 frame buffer fills before the GPU compute saturates in 4K ultra textures, causing texture streaming stalls.
