ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core processor running at 4.3GHz. It pairs that CPU with a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card carrying 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and includes Wi-Fi and RGB lighting. It targets enthusiasts who want a pre-assembled, high-core-count machine ready for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking.

360mm liquid cooling and 850W power supply

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the 16-core processor inside the Helios GX601 chassis, while an 850W power supply feeds the CPU, GPU and all onboard storage. Four DDR5 slots are populated with 128GB total, leaving no empty slots for further memory expansion without replacing modules. The motherboard uses an AM5 socket and provides a PCI Express x16 slot occupied by the graphics card. Builders who need additional internal drives must verify remaining M.2 or SATA ports on the specific motherboard used.

Upgrading from mid-range or air-cooled systems

This desktop replaces rigs limited to eight-core CPUs, air coolers or smaller power supplies that throttle under sustained loads. The jump is worth it when workloads demand 16 cores with 3D V-Cache, 128GB of DDR5 bandwidth and a 16GB GDDR6 GPU simultaneously. It is not for buyers who want more storage bays than the single 4TB NVMe and 2TB SATA III HDD provide, or for builders who need a second graphics card.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 9 9950X3D at 4.3 GHz base clock under sustained all-core load?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is sized for the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D and maintains the 4.3 GHz base frequency during extended gaming or rendering sessions.

How loud is the system and what power does it draw when the Radeon RX 9070 XT and CPU run flat-out all day?

Under full load the 850 W supply feeds both the 16 GB GDDR6 graphics card and the 128 GB DDR5 memory kit; the liquid loop keeps fan speeds moderate so noise stays at a low hum.

The PC ships with Windows 11 Home — is any other licence or peripheral required before it will boot to the desktop?

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and activated; only a display, keyboard and mouse are needed to start using the system.
