ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

This ASUS gaming desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor at 3.8GHz with a Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card carrying 16GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 128GB DDR5 RAM, a 2TB NVMe SSD and a 2TB SATA HDD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed for immediate use.

360mm Liquid Cooler and 750W Power Supply

A 360mm liquid cooler manages CPU thermals while the 750W power supply feeds the complete system. The liquid loop keeps the Ryzen 7 9700X at stable temperatures during extended gaming sessions. Power delivery is sized for the installed components without overhead speculation.

128GB DDR5 and Dual Storage Configuration

Four DDR5 slots are populated to reach 128GB, leaving no free slots for further memory expansion. The 2TB NVMe drive provides fast boot and application loading while the 2TB HDD adds bulk capacity for game libraries. Component brands may vary from the images shown.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler in the Helios GX601 case, and which step do people get wrong?

Mount the radiator so the tubes enter from the bottom, then fill the loop slowly to purge air before the first boot; the step most builders skip is orienting the pump below the radiator top so bubbles cannot collect in the cold plate.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360 mm liquid cooler and 750 W power supply need later?

The sealed 360 mm loop requires no coolant refill, but dust the radiator fins every six months; the 750 W PSU fan bearings should be checked at the same interval and the unit replaced if voltage ripple exceeds spec after several years.

What limit shows up first on the Ryzen 7 9700X and RX 7800 XT under sustained load?

The 3.8 GHz CPU and 16 GB GDDR6 GPU will hit their thermal ceiling before the 750 W supply saturates, so the 360 mm liquid cooler’s ability to move heat away from the cold plate becomes the first bottleneck during long sessions.
