Ready-to-game desktop for high-refresh 1440p

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White pairs a Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-core CPU at 4.7GHz with an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GDDR7 GPU, 64GB DDR5 and a 2TB NVMe plus 2TB SATA HDD. A 360mm liquid cooler and 750W supply keep the system stable under load. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Step up from mid-range 1080p rigs

The 8-core X3D processor and GDDR7 graphics deliver a clear frame-rate jump in CPU-bound titles and at 1440p. The dual-drive layout removes the usual storage compromise. Builders who need more GPU memory for 4K textures or compute workloads should look elsewhere.

Sustained loads stay controlled by the 360mm loop

The liquid cooler moves heat off the 9800X3D continuously, so clock speeds hold during long sessions without thermal throttling. The 750W unit supplies steady power to both CPU and GPU. The chassis airflow supports the radiator without recirculating hot air.

Questions about this item

Will a 360 mm liquid cooler fit in the Helios GX601 case without modification?

The system ships with a 360 mm liquid cooler already installed, so the case and mounting points are designed to accommodate it.

How do I install the Ryzen 7 9800X3D into the AM5 socket, and what step is often missed?

Align the triangle marker on the processor with the socket corner, lower it gently without force, then lock the retention arm — forgetting to remove the protective plastic cover on the socket contacts is the common mistake.

When will the DDR5 memory need replacement or upgrade?

The four DDR5 slots are fully populated with 64 GB; upgrade is only needed if you later require more capacity, while the modules themselves should last the lifetime of the PC under normal use.
