ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a pre-built gaming desktop PC running Windows 11 Home. It targets enthusiasts who want a complete, liquid-cooled system ready for demanding titles and heavy multitasking without assembling parts themselves.

360mm liquid cooling and dual-storage layout

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the 16-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D at 4.7GHz, keeping thermals in check inside the Helios chassis. Storage combines a 4TB NVMe SSD for fast boot and game loads with a 2TB SATA III HDD for bulk capacity, while four DDR5 slots are fully populated with 128GB total.

RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 graphics card

The GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7 memory connects via PCI Express x16 and supports virtual reality. This single specification defines the visual performance ceiling for 4K gaming and GPU-accelerated workloads on this platform.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 5080 use and what bandwidth ceiling does that set?

The graphics card connects through a PCI Express x16 slot. That interface caps the link at the x16 lane count, which is the standard pathway for modern GPUs.

What case clearance and power connectors must be free for the 360 mm liquid cooler and 1000 W PSU?

The 360 mm radiator needs a matching triple-fan mounting area inside the GX601 chassis, and the 1000 W supply requires the usual 24-pin ATX plus EPS and PCIe power cables to be routed.

How is the 128 GB DDR5 kit installed and which slot-filling mistake should be avoided?

All four DIMM slots are populated from the factory. If you ever reinstall, seat each module in the same coloured slots the board manual pairs for quad-channel operation.
