ROG Strix Helios GX601 White gaming desktop

This ASUS gaming desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 16-core processor running at 4.7GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12GB of GDDR7 memory. It ships with 128GB of DDR5 memory, a 4TB NVMe solid-state drive and a 2TB SATA III hard drive. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the system is liquid cooled with a 360mm radiator.

Sustained load behaviour with 360mm liquid cooling

The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 16-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D at stable temperatures during extended gaming or rendering sessions, preventing the frequency drops that shorter bursts can hide. The 850W power supply delivers continuous power to both the CPU and the RTX 5070 without hitting protection limits under full load.

Installation notes and common pitfalls

The system arrives assembled, tested and ready to play, so no internal build steps are required. Buyers who want more storage than the single 4TB NVMe and 2TB SATA drives provide will need to add drives themselves. The four DDR5 slots are fully populated, leaving no room for memory upgrades without replacing existing modules.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 360mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 7 9800X3D during all-day gaming?

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 16-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D at its 4.7GHz base frequency, maintaining lower temperatures and quieter operation than air coolers under sustained loads.

Do I need to buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse separately to use this PC?

Yes, the ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a desktop tower only; you must provide your own display, keyboard and mouse to operate it.

Can I keep my older SATA SSDs or HDDs and install them alongside the 4TB NVMe and 2TB HDD?

The motherboard includes SATA III ports, so existing SATA drives can be added alongside the factory-installed 4TB NVMe SSD and 2TB hard drive.
