The ASUS ZenWiFi BT6 is a three-pack tri-band mesh system built on WiFi 7 with combined data rates up to 9.4 Gbps. It uses MLO across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands for seamless device connections and AI-powered Smart AiMesh to cover up to 7600 sq.ft. Seven internal antennas and eight high-power front-end modules eliminate dead zones.

Upgrade from dual-band or WiFi 6 mesh

The jump is worthwhile when your current dual-band or WiFi 6 mesh cannot keep up with heavy concurrent traffic, 4K streaming or latency-sensitive tasks. MLO and 320 MHz bandwidth on the 6 GHz band deliver higher throughput and lower latency. The 2.5G WAN port also removes the gigabit bottleneck for multi-gig internet plans.

Check ISP modem and backhaul wiring

Verify your ISP modem or gateway provides a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port to feed the 2.5G WAN; otherwise the WAN link will negotiate at 1 Gbps. For wired backhaul between nodes, ensure Cat5e or better cabling is in place. The system needs AC power at each node location and supports 4G/5G mobile tethering via the USB 3.0 port for backup connectivity.
