The transmitter and receiver each provide a 15-pin D-type VGA port plus USB and audio connections, linked by a single CATx cable run. Pass-through ports on both ends allow a local console to remain attached at either the source or the user location. Digital extension technology carries the signal up to 300 metres or 1000 feet without signal degradation. Distance and resolution limits

VGA resolutions of 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz or 1080p are achievable at the full 300 metre reach. The extender handles single and multi-screen desktop layouts over the single CATx link. USB 2.0 bandwidth constrains high-throughput peripherals, so devices requiring faster throughput are not supported. Buyers who need video interfaces other than VGA or cable runs beyond 300 metres must select a different solution.
