The ATNEDCVH WG502F ships as a paired transmitter and receiver that extend a wired Ethernet link up to 6560 feet over Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6e cable. Each unit fits security monitoring, elevator video coverage, multimedia distribution and automation control systems where a single cable run must bridge long distances without fibre. The compact metal enclosure measures 84 by 59 by 23 millimetres and weighs 0.209 kilograms. A 12-volt power adapter is included for each side.

100 megabits per second over copper defines

The link rate is fixed at 100 megabits per second, so the 6560-foot maximum applies only when Cat5e or better cable is used. With RVV twisted-pair cable the reach drops to 3280 feet. Both ends require a DC power source; the kit does not support Power over Ethernet. Each converter accepts 10 to 60 volts through its barrel jack and passes the same voltage out through a terminal block to power a camera or other device at the remote end.

Two RJ45 ports and a wide-voltage terminal block

Each converter provides one SLAN port and one LAN port, both 100 megabit RJ45, plus a DC jack and a screw-terminal block for 10 to 60 volt input and pass-through. The metal chassis acts as a heatsink, eliminating the need for a fan. Installers gain a single-cable backbone that carries data and remote power together, freeing the far-end device from a separate mains outlet. The package includes one pair of converters and a user guide.
