10 ft Toslink Optical Audio Cable

This 10 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable carries S/PDIF signals between sound bars, TVs, game consoles and home-theatre receivers. Male-to-male gold-plated connectors mate with standard square optical ports on compatible equipment. The nylon-braided jacket protects the internal fibre during routing and daily handling.

Upgrade from Basic Plastic Optical Leads

It replaces thin, unshielded plastic cables that can kink or suffer connector corrosion over time. The jump is worth it when you need reliable multi-channel 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 Dolby AC-3 and DTS decoding without intermittent drop-outs. The 24K gold-plated tips resist tarnish and maintain consistent conductivity.

Sustained Signal Integrity Over Distance

High-precision concentrated fibre lens technology keeps the beam tightly focused, reducing internal reflection across the full 10 ft run. The double-braided nylon sheath and 2.2/5.0 mm outer diameter construction prevent micro-bends that would otherwise degrade throughput during long playback sessions. Connectors seat securely for uninterrupted lossless transmission.

Questions about this item

Will the 10 ft cable and square Toslink connectors reach my sound bar without strain?

The cable is 10 ft long with male-to-male square Toslink plugs; the precision-designed connector helps identify the correct insertion angle and fits tightly in standard S/PDIF ports.

How do I install the cable without damaging the delicate fibre core?

Remove the protective caps, align the square connector with the port’s notch, and push straight in until it clicks — do not force or twist, as the internal fibre can fracture if bent sharply.

Will the 24K gold-plated connectors need cleaning or replacement over time?

Gold plating resists tarnish and corrosion, so the connectors maintain conductivity without routine cleaning; only replace the cable if the fibre core is kinked or the nylon braid is cut.
