12MP Outdoor Fisheye Dome Camera

The AVI-8 H5A 12.0W-H5A-FE-DO1 is a 12MP outdoor dome camera with a 1.6mm fisheye lens. It provides a wide-angle view for comprehensive area coverage in surveillance security systems. The unit is supplied in new condition.

Suits single-camera wide-area monitoring

This camera suits installations that need a single device to watch a large open space such as a car park, warehouse floor or retail hall. Buyers who require multiple narrow-field cameras for corridor or doorway focus should look at a different form factor. The fisheye perspective also requires dewarping support in the recording software.

Integrates into H5A surveillance builds

The dome housing is built for outdoor mounting and connects to an existing H5A-compatible recorder or video management system. Power and network cabling must be routed to the mounting location. The wide lens reduces the number of cameras needed, freeing up recorder channels and cabling runs for other zones.

Questions about this item

Does my recorder need to support 12 megapixel streams to use this camera?

Yes, the camera outputs a 12 megapixel image, so the NVR or VMS must be configured for that resolution to record full detail.

Will the 1.6 millimetre fisheye lens cover the same area as my existing fixed lenses?

The 1.6 millimetre focal length gives a hemispherical field of view that replaces several narrow-angle cameras, but it does not match the perspective of a standard fixed lens.

How can I confirm the dome is receiving power and streaming after installation?

Check the recorder’s device list for a 12 megapixel stream from this camera and verify the live view shows a circular fisheye image without errors.
