  • US-compliant design meets regional installation standards
  • New condition ensures reliable out-of-box performance

Ceiling Tile Audio Kit

The Axis Communications 02378-004 kit integrates network audio hardware into a standard ceiling tile for discreet overhead installation. It targets installers deploying public address or background music systems in offices, schools or retail spaces where visible speakers are undesirable.

Passive Thermal Operation

The unit contains no active cooling components so it generates no fan noise and draws negligible power beyond the attached speaker module. Heat dissipates passively through the tile surface, leaving the acoustic environment completely silent during normal operation.

Tile-Mount Construction

The metal frame fits a standard ceiling grid and secures with included hardware for a flush finish. Wiring routes through the plenum space above the tile, keeping cables hidden and simplifying future maintenance access without removing the grid.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the Axis 02378-004 kit into a suspended ceiling grid, and which step is often missed?

Lay the tile into the grid, then secure the safety wire to the building structure — installers often forget the wire.

What part of the Axis 02378-004 kit will need replacement after long-term ceiling exposure?

The tile surface may discolour or sag over time and should be swapped for a fresh tile.

What load limit appears first when the Axis 02378-004 kit holds a heavy speaker continuously?

The ceiling grid’s own weight rating is reached before the tile kit shows any deformation.
