Axis C1610-VE sound projector

The Axis C1610-VE is a network sound projector designed for outdoor audio announcements and security messaging. It connects to an IP network and integrates with Axis camera systems for event-triggered playback. Installers use it for perimeter protection, access control prompts or public-address paging in exposed locations. The unit is supplied new and ready for configuration.

PoE-powered all-in-one design

Power over Ethernet supplies both electricity and data through a single cable, removing the need for a local mains connection. Built-in amplification and a weather-resistant enclosure allow the device to operate without external speakers or separate power supplies. This reduces cabling, shortens installation time and limits the number of failure points in outdoor deployments.

Questions about this item

How often will the AXIS C1610-VE network sound projector need firmware updates or hardware servicing?

Axis devices receive periodic firmware updates for security and features; the sealed outdoor-rated enclosure has no user-serviceable parts, so hardware maintenance is limited to checking cable seals and mounting integrity.

What thermal or power limit is reached first during continuous high-volume audio playback?

The built-in 8 W Class D amplifier and passive heatsink are designed for sustained output; the protection circuit limits driver excursion before the enclosure temperature reaches its rated maximum.
